Almost everyone, I believe, has probably read the famous book that is Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, wherein the heroine, young Alice, is transported to a strange world full of whimsical characters and strange sights. However, the book, if I may spoil it for you, ends with the world turning out to be nothing but a mere dream.

But was it really just a dream?

Anarchy in Wonderland is a short novel (to be somewhere around the area of 50,000 words) that I, Miru, am writing for National Novel Writing Month. It tells the tale of what happened in Wonderland after Alice left; after all, the way in which she caused an huge uproar in the Queen of Heart's court could have hardly gone without some severe repurcussions, no?

Genre-wise, Anarchy in Wonderland most likely falls into the category of surrealism. However, as the border between various genres is rather blurred, various other elements may peek into the story now and then: high fantasy, science-fiction, psychological thriller, mind-fuck, etc.

Visually, the story may fall into the category that is commonly called "light novel," i.e. a novel paired with illustrations.

All drawings are drawn, colored, and otherwise created by me. Thus, it would be highly appreciated if they were not taken, or, if you must take them, that you tell me before taking them and comment on them, please. Not that this is likely to happen, but, as they say, one can never be too cautious.
